Bista took Association Responsibility

In last week of October 2009 elected Deepak Bista as a committee member of Taekwondo Association of Nepal. For the first time since 20 years Taekwondo Association elected Mr. Prakash Rana as President. Bista preparing for 11th South Asian Games, Dhaka in February said - "it's a chance to upgrade Association." He also added to focus on searching new talents and player's goodwill as he is also a player, an elected President of Nepal National and International Player Association.
It was like dream came true
Deepak Bista, Nima Rumba and Suraj Singh Thakuri with his team had finally reached to the Mt. Everest Base Camp in last of July. "Before this I have never been live and close to the Mt. Everest. This adventure tour will be remarkable for me" says Deepak Bista.

Bista, now International Referee
Deepak Bista, International Taekwondo Player and now International Referee passed the course of referee degree at Las Vegas, USA (Feb 7 - 10, 2009).
Launched Peace Program
After returning from Jordan  where he attended "Generation for Peace", he launched peace program in Pokhara on the occasion of International Olympic Day. He is committed to conduct the program all around the country.
Bista Engross to Peace Program
Taekwondo Ace and President of Nepal National and International Player' association (NNIPA), Bista has engrossed in peace process. He has represented Nepal at Jorden the capital of Oman , as Sports delegate in the program  "peace through Sports". which was held from 1st June to 7, 2009. It was organized by Prince Faisal Hussain. All total 76 sports person from 16 countries were participated on that program. Five Nepali Sports person including Deepak were the representative of Nepal.

Took Off for “Generation of Peace” Program

Deepak Bista and five other sports personalities of Nepal left for Jordan in the first week of June, 2009. The group attended “Generation of Peace” organized by Prince of Jordan – Faisal who is the president of Jordan Olympic committee as well.

Five Participants: Helga Rana Rayamaji (Basketball Player), Kumar Thapa (Football Player), Ramesh Maharjan (Judo Player) and Mogendra Manandhar (Gymnastic).

On 17 may 2009, Bista, Ganesh Thapa and Sangina Vaidya inaugurated HIV- AIDS Toolkit Release Ceremony program held at Malla Hotel, kathmandu, Nepal.   

Yamaha FZ - Road Trip to Everest

Nepali Youth icon – Deepak Bista along with Suraj Singh Thakuri and Nima Rumba – are going to conquer the Himalayan Peaks with their FZ 16s, the most preferred and awarded bike in the 150cc category. They are going to ride FZ16s to the ‘Road Trip to Everest’ organized by Morang Auto Works- Sole authorized dealer of Yamaha motorcycles for Nepal.
 
Olympian Deepak Bista lit the 5th National game torch in the opening ceremony at Kathmandu.

Deepak Bista enter International Referee at Las Vegas
Deepak Bista successfully completed the International Referee Training Course which is held in Las Vegas, USA for 7-10 Febraury, 2009.

Bista played the role of Coach for the Nepali National Team in US open Twaekwondo Championship held in same place Las Vegas, USA from 12 - 15 March. 

Pencilvenia Chapter of NJSA felicitated Bista
The newly established Pencilvenia chapter of Nepali Janasampark Samiti America (NJSA) felicitated Taekwondo Ace Deepak Bista on March 10, 2009 at Pencilvenia, USA for his contribution to highlight Nepal through Sports.

Accepting the recognition, Deepak Bista expressed that his success is the success of whole Nation and he has dedicated his whole life for the country.
Bista feted in USA by NJSA
Nepali Janasampark Samiti America (NJSA) felicitated taekwondo ace Deepak Bista in New York on Sunday. Nepal's permanent representative to the United Nations and the United States of America, Mr. Madhu Raman Acharya, handed over the token of love (BOLOVA Watch, Cost $ 700) and felicitation letter to Bista - the second Nepali player to qualify for the Olympics. the three - time South Asian Games fold medalist and two - time Asian Games bronze medal winner Bista - who had gone to America to participate in the International Referee Seminar organized by US taekwondo Federation in Las Vegas from February 7-10 - was honored at an interaction programme. NJSA President Ananda Bista and General Secretary Bed Prasad Kharel among others were also present on the occasion.
Fourth Annual General Assembly of Nepal Olympic committee
Home Minister, Bam Dev Gautam honored Olympian Deepak Bista with 5 hundred dollars on the fourth Annual General Assembly of Nepal Olympic Committee on Friday 9th, January 2009, at Annapurna Hotel, Kathmandu. He also received 15 thousand cash from the sponsors of Beijing Olympic 2008. Bista, who is also the president of Athletes Commission which is a branch of Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) has also addressed the General Assembly. He has raised the issue of Nepali Sports Person. He has focused to arrange some award for the best Athletes and request NOC to organized regular award program to boost all players for the better settlement of Nepali Athletes.
BISTA BEING HONORED BY CPN (UML) JHALA NATH KHANAL
Central Sports Department of Democratic National Youth Federation (DNYF), Nepal and Youth Force Sports National Committee honored taekwondo player Deepak Bista during the opening ceremony of the National Youth Sports Festival on Friday, 18 December 2008, at Kathmandu.

General Secretary of CPN (UML) Jhala Nath Khanal handed over the felicitation letter and 5 thousand 5 hundred 55 Rupees. At the ceremony, Taekwondo ace Deepak Bista grasps the sports festival.
 
BISTA BEING HONORED BY PRIME MINISTER PUSPA KAMAL DAHAL
Taekwondo Ace Deepak Bista was felicitated in his home town on Friday. Prime minister Puspa Kamal Dahal awarded
22 thousand cash at Kanchanpur festival on October 17.
