Felicitation program going on:

Record 4th time gold medalist in South Asian Games (SAG), Taekwondo player Deepak Bista is busy in felicitation programs. He has got a chance to meet honorable president Dr. Rambaran Yadav today (7th march 2010). There was a special program to all 11th SAG medalists in his resident. At that time, Mr. President congratulated Deepak for making nation pride. He replied, “Players are the goodwill ambassador of country, they don't have any cast and religion, and play for country, I congratulate all of u and specially for Deepak for making great record among the Nepali players”.

Just before a day, the entire medalists were felicitated by the people in a Rally which was organized by Nepal Sports Council. Likewise, the cabinet has decided to give NRs.10 lakhs for his knee treatment. The decision was made last week; Bista says “I will go for treatment and after that think about the future stategy”

Left for another record

Taekwondo Ace Deepak Bista has left for Malaysia, prepare for the 11 South Asian Games (SAG). This SAG has great important for him that he is trying for record 4th time gold medal in consecutive year. He will train for 21 days in Kwalalampur and go to Bangladesh on Feb 4. "It is a life and death chance for me, so I will concentrate on that" and hope that all Nepalese will support me this time also which I got in previous days" he argues. He left Nepal on Tuesday with 12 members taekwondo team.

For Another Gold:

Taekwondo Ace Deepak Bista is preparing for another gold medal in South Asian Games(SAG). Record holder Bista has already made hattrick in SAG to equal the record with marathon runner Baikuntha Manandhar. The second player to qualify in Olympic Beijing Bista now targeting for 4th medal in row to make another record in Nepali Sports history.If he wins gold in 11th SAG in Bangaladesh on February, He will be the first person to have gold in consecutive year." I want to give good fight, if I am able to do that, that record will automatically make", He says.

Bista has have another record to win 2 bronze medal in Asian Games regularly. This time he is participating in South Asian Games (SAG) in spite of his injure leg. He already had surgery in his right leg now the turn is for left. Doctor advised him to go through operation. But Bista has plan to fight first and then go to surgery. " I want to take last risk for my nation then take care about myself " Bista argued. Now he is busy in training with Junior college.

Another Felicitation Program in Kathmandu

2008 Beijing Olympics.

Olympic Qualifier Deepak Bista has attended another felicitation programed in kathmandu( 23rd December 2007) organized by Nepal Taekwondo Association, has felicitated him with 10 thousand cash prize from Rukma samser Rana, president of TKD Asst. Likewise, Bista's korean coach Kwan Hyuk Jung was felicitied by 10 thousand cash and assistant coach Nabin Kumar Shrestha received 5 thousand. Similarly, Bista's first coach Govinda Bista also felicitated with cash prize of 10 thousand for his contribution to make such a talent player from the Far Western Region.

FELICITATION RAIN ON DEEPAK

The only second Nepali player to be selected for Olympics, Deepak Bista was felicitated by Government of Nepal with cash award worth of one lakh rupees and a permanent job.

Bista, who made his way straight and clear to the Beijing Olympics 2008, Winning up a Bronze medal in the Asian Olympic Qualifying Round held on 30th Nov 2007 in Vietnam was awarded a post of Gadgetted Officer Level Coach. He was also given a Silver Medal which addressed '2008 BEIJING OLYMPIC, GO FOR THE GOLD". Minister of Education and sports for the state, Mohan Singh Rathor handed over the Medal to Bista.

Likewise, Deepak also got a grand welcome in his home town Kailali. Regional Sports Development Committee awarded 21 thousand to Deepak as an honor for the historic achievement. Still the party time for Deepak is not over as National and International Association honored him with 20 thousand rupees. Nepal International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) also felicitated Deepak with 10 thousand rupees.

Qualified in Olympic, 2008

Deepak Bista, the ace of Taekwondo, has qualified for the Olympic game 2008 in china. He won bronze medal during Asian Qualifying match held at Vietnam on 30th Nov 2007. After Sangina Vaidya, he is the second player to qualify for the Olympic.

3rd November 2007, 33 countries have participated in 3rd Korean Open Championship below 80 kg, held in Incheon city of Korea. In the championship, Deepak Bista had able to win the bronze medal in Taekwondo by defeating Ghana but he was unable to defeat Iran. “I’m very happy that I won another medal for my country.” says Bista. Similarly, Bima Kumari Rai was only one from Nepal who got the bronze medal in fine weight category among women.

Taekwondo player, Deepak Bista has left for South Korea to continue his special training with his team. Deepak along with his coach Kwan Hyuk Jung & other three players, Manita Shahi, Aayesha Shakya & Kumar Manandhar had come here in Kathmandu to participate in world Olympic qualifying in Manchester from 28 to 30 September. But they were deprived of the world qualifying after denying visa from the British Embassy.

Deepak now will take part in Asian Olympic qualifying which is going to be held in Vietnam in December 2007. 'As this would be the last chance to materialize my dream of playing in Olympics, I'll put every effort in it,' said Deepak Bista, Three-time South-Asian Games Gold Medalist & Two-time Asian Games Bronze Winner.

Taekwondo Ace Deepak Bista is out of World Olympic qualifying due to International problem for the event which is going to be held in Manchester city from 28 to 30 September this year.

Likewise, other players Manita Shahi, Aayesha Shakya and Kumar Manandhar were also stopped here in Kathmandu on Sunday 24th September . Deepak came to Kathmandu from Korea only for the visa process after they were called by the embassy. But the embassy refused to provide the visas to the players. As a result they couldn't attend the
world Olympic qualifying. They were in Korea for 5 months to prepare for the championship. Why the embassy refused to provide the visas is still in suspense.

"This is my last chance to try for the Olympic game this year, one is left from this cause. This is such a depressing case to any player", said Deepak.

Now, along with Deepak other players are also waiting for their last chance to qualify for the Beijing Olympic through Asian Olympic Qualifying Round which is going to be held in Vietnam in December 2007.

Taekondo player Deepak Bista has been declared Nepal Sports Journalist Forum male player of the year 2063.He was awarded with 10 thousand cash prize in Kathmandu 20th Augus, Monday 2007. Programme was organised by NSJF.In absence of Deepak due to
olympic training in Korea ,his father received prize from Gianni Merlo the president of AIPS.He said that," I'm here because
of support of my parents and I'm pride that my father received award .Likely taekwondo player Manita Shahi and Aayesha Shakya also won female youth award player of the year. Coach Kwan Hyuk Jung was declared coach of the year.
 

National and International players association (NIPA) has felicitated taekwondo player Deepak Bista and Manita Shahi as best player of the year 2063. They were awarded with 10 thousand rupees each. In absence of Deepak due to training in Korea, his mother Kalawoti Bista received the award on Tuesday.

 

Taekwondo player Deepak Bista has left for 18th World Taekwondo Championship with his Taekwondo team. Tournament is going to start from tomorrow (18 may) in Beijing, China. Bista left for China today (17 may) from Korea with other four players. They have left for the Competition after one month special training in Korea. Bista is competing in Welter weight category. Likewise, Ganesh Khadka in bantum weight, and Kumar Manandhar in fly weight are male participants are from Nepal.

Taekwondo player Deepak Bista has left Korea for the preparation training of the 18th world taekwondo championship with other ten taekwondo players on Sunday (28th April). He'll join special training package in Korea. After 2 weeks training he will participating in World Championship which is going to held in Beijing from 17-22 May. The taekwondo team has got chance of training from Korean Coach Kwan Hyuk Jung and different Dojang of Korean city Inchan.

He also received 2 lakhs cash prize for 10th SAG gold and one lakh and 80 thousand for Asia bronze medal from the government on the Friday (27 April). other medalist were also given cash prize from the government. Deepak said that it's a great thing in his life and prize will encourage him to do his best in world championship. speaker Subash Chandra Nembang felicitated him with gold coin.

The bronze medalist of 15th ASIAD and gold medalist of 10th Sag Deepak Bista was felicitated with total 40 thousand cash prize. He received 25 thousand for ASIAD bronze by DABUR Nepal and 15 Thousand for SAG gold medal by Nepal Taekwondo association. Similarly Manita Shahi, Aayesha Shakya, Padma Gurung, Kumar Manandhar,and Sangina Baidya were also felicitated with cash prize on that programme. Minister for agriculture and co-operative Chhabilal Biswokarma felicitated the medalist.

Taekondo player Deepak Bista & Table Tennis player Sandhya Shakya are elected in athlete commission under Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC). In the election held at shooting complex, Satdobato on sunday(March 16), Deepak Bista is unanimously elected from men's side. Likewise in women section beating Karate Player Preeti Dongol and Hand baller Manju Shrestha, Sandhay got elected in athlete commission.
The second consecutive time bronze medal holder of Asian games taekwondo player Deepak Bista was felicitated by Nepal Olympic Committee NOC ,this Saturday in Lalitpur. President of NOC Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan gave the token of love and gold coin to taekwondo ace Deepak at that programme. Deepak who is busy to prepare for Olympic games told that it is really good appreciate for him to do better performance in up coming world taekwondo championship and Olympic qualifying .
